COVID-19 Coronavirus Policy 2020

The Seasons Art Class will be following the Public Health England advice on COVID-19 (Coronavirus), which can be found here:

https://www.gov.uk/government/collections/coronavirus-covid-19-list-of-guidance

In order to protect the wellbeing of our students and staff, The Seasons Art Class reserves the right to refuse access to the classes to a student who has met any of the following criteria:

  • exhibits the known symptoms but has not yet been tested
  • tested positive for COVID-19 and not been declared fully recovered
  • attends a place of work that has been closed due to COVID-19
  • travelled to a country classified as ‘high risk’ within the past few weeks
  • been in contact with someone who has or suspects they may have the Coronavirus

High risk areas and other guidelines from Public Health England can be found here: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/coronavirus-covid-19-information-for-the-public

We will be running the classes as normal, but urge you to follow the government advice.  We will disinfect surfaces and equipment, and ensure that soap is available for washing hands during class.

In line with government advice, if you have symptoms of coronavirus infection (COVID-19), however mild, stay at home and do not leave your house for 7 days from when your symptoms started. Please do let us know and we will get a class demonstration video and handout to you.

Unfortunately, refunds cannot be given for missed classes due to any of the above reasons, but we can provide a video showing the class demonstration, so that you can follow the worksheet at home.  We will also do our best to allow that individual to attend additional classes (for example, during the subsequent term) once they are no longer a risk to others.  This option would be subject to availability as we have a maximum occupancy for each class, but we will do our best to accommodate everyone affected over time.

Should a student test positive for COVID-19 we would expect them to ensure that we are informed as soon as possible so that we can let others know who have been in contact with them.  It would then be up to each individual to follow advice with regard to the level of risk and whether to self-isolate.

Should we be affected by a government recommendation or requirement that an entire geographical area is locked down, the classes will be paused and postponed to a later date.  Anyone who has a confirmed booking will be informed of the situation and the re-commencement date, and we cannot offer a refund should a student be unable to attend the later dates.

We reserve the right to amend and update this policy as the situation changes, and will continue to do our best to comply with NHS advice and Public Health guidelines for the safety and enjoyment of all our students and staff.
